PDP, APC Trade Words Over Owo Church Terror Attack
In Ondo State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has stated that the APC government should not be allowed to rule beyond 2023 due to its failure to protect the people.
The party described the APC as a “evil” government in a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary, Kennedy Ikantu Peretei, on Monday.
“In the last two weeks, Ondo State has hosted the rest of the world,” the statement reads; Men and women who paid a visit to the ancient city of Owo, Nigeria, received condolence messages in the aftermath of the ‘Owo massacre.’
“What Akeredolu said at the funeral was a confirmation of what every rational Nigerian has said about the APC government and its agents.” The truth is that the government has failed the people.”
The Ondo State government, on the other hand, reacted quickly, calling the PDP’s action “insensitive” and “dancing on the graves of victims of the Owo terror attack.”

The statement allegedly made by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party in response to Governor Akeredolu’s, SAN, remarks at the funeral mass for the slain victims of the Owo terror attack, according to the Governor’s Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, did not come as a surprise to the Ondo State government.
“The opposition’s claim demonstrates its lack of empathy and respect for humanity,” it said. It’s an unnecessary boast that offends the state’s collective psyche.”
