Osun Polytechnic finally shut down indefinitely after students burn down the campus medical center

Osun State Polytechnic, Iree is on shut down after students of the establishment destroyed some properties at the faculty’s medical centre.

According to a number of studies, an HND 1 pupil of Applied Science, recognized as Aminu Sheu fainted yesterday afternoon after he completed his examination.. and was reportedly rushed to the faculty’s medical centre at about 3:40 pm.

Reports declare that the employees of responsibility allegedly advised the students who introduced him to the clinic that the clinic had closed for the day.

Before they might find a nearest hospital, the pupil died. The dying of the pupil introduced out the students on Saturday morning to protest the method at which the faculty’s clinic dealt with the matter. In the course of the protest, it was alleged that the clinic property was destroyed, some paperwork and autos parked at the clinic premises had been set ablaze.

In a statement by the Media Relations Officer of the faculty, Tope Abiola on behalf of the faculty’s registrar, Barrister B. M. Salawu, the establishment urged all students to vacate the faculty premises with rapid impact.

The statement reads,”This is to tell the basic public that Osun State Polytechnic Iree has been closed down. As a results of this, all students are to vacate the faculty premises with rapid impact.”

The deceased has been put to relaxation final evening in accordance with Islamic rites.
