Cult Clash in Osogbo  in Osun State has left one dead .

On Saturday, residents of Osogbo’s Ita-Olookan neighborhood were shaken by the death of a man who has yet to be named by alleged cult members.

According to reports, the deceased also belonged to another cult that has been involved in a long-running feud with a rival organization.

The residents scurried for cover as the alleged cult members launched a 10-minute assault.

The deceased sat in front of a house where the evil perpetrators carried out their heinous act, and was shot while attempting to flee.

According to eyewitness accounts, the deceased was one of the representatives of the party that initiated the initial assault on their rivals.

“Those who killed the man in Ita-Olokan were on a retaliatory mission,” said the eyewitness, who identified himself as Ademola Adefioye.

He clarified that all of the members of the group who killed their victim arrived on bikes, armed with guns, axes, cutlasses, broken bottles, and other dangerous items.

The evil doers were said to vanish into thin air in the blink of an eye after the killing.

The deceased’s body had been taken to a morgue of an unspecified hospital in town at the time of filing this article, and the perpetrators had yet to be arrested.

When contacted, Yemisi Opalola, the State Police Public Relations Officer of the Police Command, confirmed the incident and assured that the killers would be apprehended.

According to her, the police reacted quickly after learning of the incident, and the state commissioner of police, CP Olawale Olokojo, summoned all DPOs in the state to address the state’s protection.
