The coronation ceremony for Omoba Emiko Tsola, the 21st Kingdom, is live on Ode-Itsekiri Island in Delta State.

Buhari rejoices over Emiko’s coronation as Olu of Warri

On August 21, President Muhammadu Buhari congratulated all Itsekiris, both at home and abroad, on Prince Tsola Emiko’s coronation as the 21st Olu of Warri.

In a congratulatory message issued on Friday in Abuja by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, the president praised the kingdom for overcoming the issues that arose following the initial appointment of the Olu-designate.

He pleaded for any other outstanding issues to be resolved amicably in the interest of the kingdom’s peace and tranquilly.

Mr Buhari urged Olu Emiko to use his gift and intellect to serve his people, while acknowledging Itsekiris’ peaceful disposition to peace in the Niger Delta zone and the country in general.

He expressed the hope that the new epoch would cement the kingdom’s peace, progress, and prosperity for all citizens.

Meanwhile, during the coronation of the new Olu Emiko, the Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, has enjoined Itsekiri king makers to strictly adhere to their tradition and customs.
