The APC Leader Olorogun Otega Emerhor yesterday on live interview with Senu Akinboloye on channel tv said “he recused himself from the 2019 election because he has come to the conclusion that it is only a candidate from Delta North senatorial district that can defeat the sitting governor of PDP who is running for his second tenure allowed him by law”.
Reacting to the statement
APC chieftain Prince Christopher Agaga said “the statement confirms what people have been saying that Otega is working in cahoot with Governor Okowa to deny APC victory in 2019 in a quid pro quo arrangement that will secure Okowa’s reciprocal backing in 2023 in either APC or PDP for Otega as dictated by the dynamics of the time.
Don’t Miss : Is Olorogun Otega Emerhor a Leader or a Ruler?
Beside Governor Okowa no other person aspiring from the delta north senatorial district would or could be limited to a single tenure of four years. By this inadvertent confession extracted from the mouth of Olorogun Otega by a blindsided question, what else do the national leaders of APC and the presidency need to consider expelling this mole who has a history of betrayal, from the party? When prince Collins Eselemo accused Otega of mortgaging the fortune of the party in the 2015 election for money which he witnessed, some persons who are deceived by appearances had difficulty believing Collins Eselemo and others accusing Otega of devious practices against the fortune of All Progressive Congress.
At last, Otega’ s admission yesterday leaves no one in doubt about his duplicity. We, therefore, call on all well-meaning members of the party to do the needful by expelling Olorogun Otega from the party to pave way for the progress of the party in the state
