Ogboru says Delta APC now a one-man show, resigns membership
Hon. Rex Enajite Ogboru, a senior member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, has resigned from the party.

Hon. Ogboru and Mr. Godwin Umukoro, in a letter to the National Chairman, said they had been following up on the party’s activities in the state “of late and come to find out that the party has turned into a one man show, where decisions and directives are dictated to all by the almighty emperor and supreme leader of Delta APC.”

“The ingredient of inclusiveness, which remains the pivot on which democracy is built, has been neglected,” he continues, “and what is now left is a dictatorial system.”
“The national body of the party has been complacent enough to allow APC Delta to run a One-Man show,” the letter claims.

“After due, but diligent consultation, I and my teaming supporters have decided to take our destinies into our own hands,” he continued. As a result, we resign our membership in the All Progressives Congress (APC) effective immediately.
“However, we will seek a better platform where hope, belief in democratic equality, inclusiveness, and the rule of law are upheld,” he said, adding that details of his political activities would be communicated to his supporters in the coming days.
