Chief Obinna Iyiegbu, a hospitality entrepreneur and socialite known as Obi Cubana, hosted his former secondary school classmates in Abuja yesterday.

Obi Cubana, the nightlife king, paid for all of the former classmates who attended the reunion’s flight tickets, hotel reservations, and meals.

Dennis Memorial Grammer School, Onitsha’s “Class 92,” was overjoyed to see each other after such a long time.

Obi Cubana proposed establishing a trust fund to help some of their former classmates who were struggling financially.

He promised N2 million to each of the former classmates who were the least financially viable.

“There are some of us, even here, who are struggling,” he says in a video from the reunion. Life isn’t just about taking pictures and posting them on Instagram to make people think you’ve made it.

“To God’s glory, God has indeed blessed some of us.

“People are going through hell, and to God’s glory, some of us have been blessed.”

“So I’d like to make a suggestion tonight.” Tonight, I want C92 to do something significant. I’d like us to establish a fund that will cater to, and care for, some of our less fortunate classmates.

“By picking up 20 people, I will support this noble cause.” I want to give them N2 million when you identify these 20 people, 20 people from the poorest and poorest among us.

“Don’t let anything intimidate you. We are not giving because we have, but because God has given us the ability to do so.”
