Npower Latest News on payment

Npower News : Npower January stipend Payment Paused

The latest Npower news now is that payment of Npower January stipend has been paused. Ejes Gist Newspaper reports that over four thousand (4,000) accounts have been credited.

Payment of January stipends has been halted due to a technical breakdown, according to an in-house source who confirmed the development to Ejes Gist Newspaper.

It was also gathered that instead of the NASIMS management using the automatic payment system being used by NYSC, the agency has insisted on a manual payment process.

Reacting to the new development, NASIMS management said the payment of Npower January stipend was never stalled for any technical glitch but was at a point of slowness due to the Easter public holiday.

NASIMS management official statement reads as follows:

ATTENTION: Npower Batch C1 Beneficiaries,

PAYMENT OF JANUARY STIPENDS 2022 WAS NEVER STALLED, STILL IN PROGRESS.

Kindly note, payment of January stipends is very much in progress and never stalled for any technical glitch as alleged, but was at a point slow due to Easter public holiday. All formal activities of the ministry and payments resumes to it full force after the holiday.
Please bear with us and wait for your payment.
Wishing you a joyous Easter celebration!. Thank you!

One might wonder why a federal agency like NASIMS will be using a manual payment system to pay over 500,000 beneficiaries when there is an automatic payment system used by NYSC.
Even First Bank has developed a new app called “First LIT that has the capability to make bulk payments, schedule payments, and recur payments.
