Ovie Omo-Agege, the Deputy Senate President, has emphasised the importance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ward congress as a foundation for election victory in Delta State and Nigeria in general ahead of the 2023 general elections.

He praised the peaceful conduct of congresses across Delta State’s local councils, calling the participants’ behaviour “most responsible.”

The lawmaker noted in a statement to EJES GIST NEWS in Abuja that there was a large turnout of people, which he believes is a sign that the party will become the dominant party in Delta State in a short time.

“The strong grassroots interest in the congress and massive turnout everywhere are particularly encouraging,” the statement read.

“Our people simply reaffirmed the reality that the APC has achieved new, robust strategic electoral strengths to dominate Delta State politics.

“We appreciate our leaders and members’ efforts to ensure that the Ward Congress in Delta State and other parts of the country is a resounding success.”

The party’s differences were hamonized, allowing the party to conduct its primaries without hitches from any quarter, according to the leader, who added that differences and opinions cannot be ruled out in party politics.
