Federal High Court in Abuja Adjourns trials of leaders of the Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB,  to October 21st.

When the DSS fails to appear in court to produce Nnamdi Kanu, the judge adjourns the case until October.

The trial of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, has been delayed by the Federal High Court in Abuja (IPOB).

On Monday, when the resumed hearings in the Federal Capital Territory, Justice Binta Nyako delayed the trial (FCT).

The trial was delayed after Kanu was not produced in court by the Department of State Services (DSS).

Justice Nyako chastised the security team’s actions, noting that she had remained in her chambers while waiting for the defendant to appear in court.

She urged the prosecution to be meticulous with dates whenever she provided them, emphasizing the importance of Kanu’s presence at his trial.

Tension in Abuja As DSS Crackdown on Nnamdi Kanu’s  Supporters

The breaking news now is that the Department of State Security, DSS has continued to crack down on individuals showing solidarity for the Nnamdi Kanu trial, scheduled to hold today money at 9 am.

In a live report, by Arise TV, DSS Operatives can be seen arresting people showing support for Nnamdi Kanu,  the leader of proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB..

DSS could be heard shouting, turn off the camera, but the Arise TV craw refused to, insisting they are on live broadcast.

The secessionist was arraigned before Justice Binta Nyako who ordered his remand in the custody of the DSS until his next trial date which is July 26 and 27.

Kanu, who is facing an 11-count charge of treason, treasonable felony, terrorism and illegal possession of firearms, among others, jumped bail in 2017 and left the country, only to re-emerge in Israel and then in the United Kingdom.

The Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal is expected to amend the charges against the IPOB leader.

AGF Abubakar Malami had accused Nnamdi Kanu of ordering the killing of security operatives in the South-East and South-South.
