Nigerian Police Gives Crucial Update on Crashed Aircraft

The Police Force denied the crash of its helicopter in Bauchi on Thursday.

According to reports, a Nigerian Police Force helicopter crashed in Bauchi on Wednesday, injuring six people.

CP Frank Mba, the Force Public Relations Officer, told Newsmen in Abuja that the helicopter did not crash and that the pilot only had a controlled landing.

The helicopter took off from Abuja and arrived in Bauchi around 7 a.m., according to Mba, but the pilot discovered that there was no light on the runway.

According to him, the helicopter’s tail rotor was the only part that was damaged.

“Our plane did not crash,” he said. In Bauchi, we made a safe landing. The chopper took off from Abuja and arrived in Bauchi around 7 a.m. on Thursday.

“And, by the way, the runway lights were turned off.” As a result, visibility was a problem. They circled the airport, hoping for someone to turn on the light.

“They tried to contact them on the communication set, but no one was on the control towel, so they had no choice but to do a control landing at the end of the day.” They landed safely, too.

“The only thing that happened was that the tail rotor hit a tree branch very close to where they landed.” So the tail rotor was the only thing that was damaged.

“There were six people onboard, and no one was hurt.” And the plane suffered no significant damage.”
