2. Arthur Nzeribe, longest serving Senator dies at 83

Senator Francis Arthur Nzeribe, a former legislator, has died. According to a family source, the former congressman died on Sunday at the age of 82 in a foreign hospital of an unexplained illness.

3. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has threatened to not call off the strike. This was stated by the union at its current meeting in Abuja. The union promised to inform Nigerians of the outcome of its meeting, accusing the Federal of not being serious.

Ukraine claims that Russia bombed a school in the Luhansk region, where 90 people were seeking refuge. Sixty persons are thought to be dead.
