  1) The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has suspended its planned strike in response to the subsidy removal-caused increase in fuel prices. To prevent a nationwide strike, the union demanded that the Federal Government reinstate the previous rate of N197.   2) The Trade Union Congress (TUC) has urged President Bola Tinubu to increase the minimum wage for workers in the country to mitigate the effects of subsidy elimination. In order to implement the Petroleum Industry Act, it was stated that this should be completed by the end of June, and that the consequential adjustment to Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) should be considered. 3) The former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has revealed that he is not too large to serve in President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
