1. Many Abducted as Bandits attack Mosque
Bandits attacked a mosque in Kaduna State’s Giwa Local Government Area, abducting some worshippers. The armed gang struck during evening prayer, it was learned yesterday (Ishai prayer).
2. Dave Umahi, Deputy Secure Judgement Stopping Their Sack From Office.
Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State and his Deputy, Kelechi Igwe, have been granted an interim order by the Ebonyi State High Court, preventing their removal from office.
The order was obtained after the duo’s counsel, Roy Umahi, filed an ex-parte motion in suit no HAB/13/22 under rule 3(3) of the High Court rules of Ebonyi state.
Remember that the Abuja Federal High Court ordered their dismissal on Tuesday for abandoning the Peoples Democratic Party in favour of the All Progressive Congress.
The court also ordered the PDP to present a new candidate within 90 days, or the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to hold a new election.

Emmanuel Yawe, the Arewa Consultative Forum’s (ACF) National Publicity Secretary, has died. Yawe, 65, was said to have died peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of Saturday in Abuja.

An Independent Investigation Panel, which was looking into police brutality that led to the End SARS protest, ordered retired Brig.-Gen. Buba Marwa, the Chairman of the National Drug Laws Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), to produce suspended DCP Abba Kyari by March 22, 2022.

9. APC Crisis Deepens As INEC Rejects Governor Sani-Bello’s Leadership
Following the refusal of the Independent National Electoral Commission to recognise the acting Chairman of the party, Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger State, an attempt by some governors of the All Progressives Congress to sack the Chairman, Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee of the APC, Governor Mai Mala Buni, appears to have hit a brick wall.
The officials pleaded not to be named disclosed that Sani-Bello had on Wednesday written to INEC in his capacity as the acting national chairman of the APC’s Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) inviting the commission to their National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for next week Thursday via zoom.
