Massive Recruitment at the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) – APPLY NOW

1. Senator Rochas Okorocha claims that President Muhammadu Buhari has agreed to take up his case with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). He said this after a closed-door meeting with the President at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday, in response to questions from State House reporters.

2. President Muhammadu Buhari has done everything in his power to develop Nigeria; the only remaining challenge is for Nigerians to accept that the country must grow. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, Minister of State for Education, stated this at an academic town hall meeting in Abuja on Thursday.

3. In the early hours of Thursday, bandits stormed Daddarar villages in Katsina State’s Jibia Local Government Area, killing six people, including the village chief. Five other residents were reportedly kidnapped by the criminals.

4. FG Uncovers 96 Boko Haram, ISWAP Sponsors, 123 Companies Linked To Terrorism

The Federal Government announced yesterday that it had identified individuals, companies, and forex operators in Nigeria with ties to terrorism financing. According to Lai Mohamed, Buhari’s minister, the NFIU found 96 terrorist financiers in Nigeria between 2020 and 2021, as well as 424 associates/supporters of the financiers, 123 companies, and 33 bureaux de change.

 

5. On Thursday evening, Oranmiyan House, the campaign headquarters of Minister of Interior Rauf Aregbesola, was attacked. According to residents, gunmen broke into the office in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, a few minutes after 5 p.m.

6. Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has warned that allowing the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) to grow will make the Boko Haram threat “child’s play.” On Thursday, he issued the warning during a weekly briefing hosted by the Presidential Communication Team at the State House in Abuja.

Blessing Onu (APC, Benue), Chairman of the House Ad-Hoc Committee on the Investigation of Real Estate Developers’ Operations in the Federal Capital Territory, said this on Thursday as members of the committee visited various sites in Abuja.

8. An explosion onboard a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit belonging to Shebah Exploration and Production Company Limited (SEPCOL) in the Escravos area of Delta State has resulted in the loss of seafarers and project crew.

9. On Thursday, an Abeokuta Magistrates’ Court in Isabo, Ogun State, ordered that four teenagers accused of murdering Sofiat Kehinde, a 20-year-old girl, be remanded in prison for two months.

10. On the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, police have arrested 33 suspected criminals, including members of various kidnapping gangs terrorizing motorists and travelers. Ngozi Onadeko, the Commissioner of Police, briefed journalists on Thursday and named some of the suspects as Aliu Umaru, Isiaka Ibrahim, and Tambaya Usman.
