Ossy Prestige, a member of the House of Representatives from the state of Abia, is dead.

Aba North/South Federal Constituency of Abia State, the late lawmaker, died following a protracted illness.

He was elected on the All Progressive Grand Alliance platform (APGA).

The development was confirmed by Benjamin Kalu, the House spokesman, although he did not give further details about the cause of the death of the lawmaker.

“He was confirmed dead by a member of the family,” he said.

He had been receiving medical attention, both in Nigeria and abroad, for several months.

Another source, who is part of the leadership of the House, also confirmed the passing on of the deceased.

“It is true, yes, that he died. During the plenary tomorrow, it will be announced and the House will adjourn, said the member who does not want his name mentioned because he was not allowed to speak.

The late Mr. Prestige is the third House member who passed on during the current ninth session.
