Recruitment training

NAF applicants will be required to attend a six-month Basic Military Training Course (BMTC). ND, SSCE, NABTEB, Trade Test, or City and Guild Certificate holders are eligible to participate in these training exercises for airmen and airwomen.
The NAF will open online registration on March 2, 2022, and the deadline has been set for July 26, 2022. Candidates are encouraged to apply online at airforce.mil.ng, following the application instructions found here.

There are some minimum requirements or qualifications that you must meet before you can apply and join the Nigerian Airforce. The Nigerian Airforce will review and modify these requirements on a regular basis. To keep you informed, those changes will be updated here as well.

Recruitment Requirements 2022

The following conditions must be met by applicants;

Minimum Age 18
Maximum Age (Tradesmen/Women) 25
Minimum Height 1.63
Maximum Height 1.66
Qualifications Minimum of 5 Credits in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB/NECO including Mathematics and English
Nationality Must be Nigerian by Birth

 

  • Citizen of Nigeria by Birth (A must)
  • A minimum of 5 credits in SSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB and school testimonials, including mathematics and English language.
  • All applicants are expected to be single
  • Applicants must be 18-22 years of age for non-tradesmen/women and 18-25 years of age for male and female tradesmen.
  • Those who apply for the position of assistant chaplain/assistant imam/driver must be between 18-28 years of age.
  • For males, the minimum height is 1.66 metres or 5.4ft, and for females, 1.63 or 5.3ft.
  • They have to be physically and medically fit.
