Latest Naija News on Nigeria Vs Ghana World Cup Qualifier
Watford manager, Roy Hodgson, has disclosed that William Troost-Ekong could be out of action for up to four weeks.
A muscle strain has been sustained by Nigeria’s national team captain.
During a press conference on Friday, Hodgson provided this update.
Troost-Ekong could be out for “the foreseeable future,” effectively ruling him out of the 2022 World Cup playoff against Ghana, according to him.
“For Sarr, as well as Troost-Ekong, it’s a muscle strain.
“It’ll keep them both out of the equation for the time being, but I’m not sure how long that will be.”
“It’s not a minor thing, it’s not a knock,” the 74-year-old manager explained. “Both have muscle strains, which can take anywhere from a week to four weeks to recover from.”
