The Nigerian Federal Government’s NG CARES initiative, with support from the World Bank, aims to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The National Covid 19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (NG CARES) will assist Nigerians who are vulnerable to the pandemic.

With a World Bank grant of 750 million years from 2021 to 2023, it is a multi-sectoral programme aimed at assisting vulnerable and poor Nigerians, small farmers, and small and medium-sized enterprises affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Nigerian Covid-19 Economic Recovery and Stimulus Program () aims to restore livelihoods, food security, and the recovery of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in Kwaara’s poor and vulnerable citizens.

Each state will receive $20 million over two years, while the FCT will receive $15 million and the Federal Care Support will receive $15 million, all of which will take effect on June 30, 2021.

Micro businesses (3–9 employees) and small businesses (10–50 employees) are the target businesses.

NG Cares Application Requirements

Documents for  NG Cares Application :
1) Identification (National Identification Number, Driver’s License, Voter’s Card, etc.)
2) Identification as a resident (Utility Bills, Voters Card)
3) Identification (NIN, voter registration card, driver’s licence)
4) Bank Verification Number Proof (BVN Printout duly stamped by the Bank)
5) Documentation of business operations (Cash Book Register, Bank Statement, etc.)
6) Proof of ownership of the company (CAC Registration Documents, TIN)

How to Apply for NC-CARES Stimulus Funding

Interested applicants should contact their local NC Cares agents/enumerators for registration information, or contact their community’s CDC Chairman, Women Leader, or Youth President. These people have been given forms to fill out.
