Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri, a sociopolitical commentator, has insisted that the Muslim Muslim presidential ticket is perfect.

Omokri argued that rather than religion, the emphasis should be on the presidential candidates’ credibility.

The staunch ally of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar made the remark via a tweet.

Omokri added that despite the All Progressives Congress, APC, choosing to run a Muslim-Muslim ticket, he was not against the party."I rejected your silly advances in 2014". Natasha Akpoti accuses Reno Omokri of being a chronic Muslim Muslim ticket.

Former Goodluck Jonathan aide stated that he opposed the APC because of Bola Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate.

Omokri claims that Tinubu is an untrustworthy candidate.

“I’ve stated this before, and I’ll state it once more. If the ticket is strong and made up of reliable individuals, there is NOTHING wrong with it being Muslim Muslim ticket.

“I oppose the APC because Tinubu lacks credibility, not because of that plan. Let’s concentrate on credibility rather than piety, he tweeted.

After declaring himself the APC’s presidential nominee, Tinubu chose a Muslim from the North to be his running mate.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, received a name submission from the APC presidential candidate for Kabiru Masari to serve as his running mate.

However, there are hints that Tinubu put Masari’s name forward to INEC as a stand-in.

Tinubu recently declared that he was looking for a running mate for the presidency.
