MASSOB Discloses Those Behind Police And Correctional Centre Attacks In Imo

The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra has identified the perpetrators of the Imo attacks.

It has been revealed who was behind the violent attacks on the Imo state police headquarters and the Correctional Centre.

The attacks are being carried out by the Federal Government, according to the Movement for the Actualisation of the Independent State of Biafra (MASSOB).

MASSOB leader Uchenna Madu said the attacks were ploys by President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to discredit pro-Biafra groups in a statement released on Tuesday.

“Through the MASSOB intelligence agency, we discovered that the Federal Government of Nigeria is funding and conducting all of these attacks through their protected militiamen identified as bandits and unknown gunmen,” the group said.

“Their main goal is to delegitimize nonviolent pro-Biafra freedom fighters such as MASSOB and IPOB.

“They want to give the false impression that pro-Biafra agitators have devolved into militancy and violence.

“How can untrained and untrained civilians with no military experience overwhelm Nigeria’s entire security establishment in the South East?

“How come there was no security resistance during the over-an-hour-long operation to break up Owerri prisons and the Imo State police headquarters?”

Governor Hope Uzodinma was advised by MASSOB to avoid accusing IPOB, ESN, or any other pro-Biafra organisation.

“Under the pretext of looking for pro-Biafra agitators, the Federal Government is preparing to militarise the entire Biafra territory.

“They want to bully and instil fear in our people in order to prevent Ndigbo from clamouring for the presidency in 2023,” the group added.
