Many Villagers Flee their Homes after Attacked their Community in Borno State  

There are reports of civilians fleeing their properties following an assault by suspected insurgents on a neighborhood in Askira/Uba native authorities house of Borno state on Tuesday January 5.

Houses at Womdeo village in Askira/Uba council of Borno state have been reportedly set ablaze by the insurgents.

A fleeing resident, Musa Ishaiku suggested Daily Trust that a complete bunch of residents “are currently taking refuge in the bushes and hills without knowing the whereabouts of their love ones. They came at about 6:30 pm and started shooting from all angles, there was confusion as many parents could not find their children, we are on the hill now. Watching how are they currently burning down our houses.”


Another resident,  Steve Mamza said;


” As I’m speaking with you they’re nonetheless in Womdeo village, strolling free for about two hours now. Many of our people have fled to the adjoining neighborhood for security. Our village is beneath assaults by Boko Haram.”
