Many feared dead as commercial bus plunges into Edo river


A commercial bus lost control and plunged into a river in Edo state – Many of the passengers could not be rescued alive according reports from eye-witness Many passengers of a commercial bus were feared dead on Sunday, July 15, after the bus lost control and plunged into the Ovia River in Evbonogbon, Edo state. In a viral video of the incident uploaded on social media, divers were making efforts to rescue victims while passersby could be heard sreaming after a diver brought out a baby from the bus.

It was gathered that officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps and operatives of the Edo state police command were later deployed to the scene.
