2- German shepherd Dogs claimed to be owned by a Catholic church in Lagos State has bitten a man to death
Residents of the Abule Egba neighbourhood in the state of Lagos, as well as the Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Police Force, are currently searching for two dogs that allegedly caused the death of a man by biting him during the night.
Ejes Gist Newspaper learned that the two German shepherds were supposed to be guarding a Catholic church in the neighbourhood, but instead wandered into the street and bit Hashiru Isah, causing his death.
It was around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, when the dogs pounced on the victim and attacked him.
The victim was reportedly on his way home. During the course of the attack, it was alleged that Isah was bitten in a number of different part of his body by the dogs.
It is stated that local residents saved Isah from the dogs and immediately brought him to the Orile Agege General Hospital, where he passed away a short time later.
Catholic Church Dogs bits Man to Death
A relative of the victim informed the personnel at the Oke-Odo Police Station of the situation. Subsequently, operatives were drafted to the scene to begin an investigation as a result of this information.
It is reported that relatives of the dead expressed regret over the development, but that they afterwards collected Isah’s corpse so that it may be buried in line with the traditions of Islam.
“The assault took place in the middle of the night. The dogs got out onto the street and ultimately caused the man’s death by biting him. The dogs have not been found; they were taken by an unknown person.
The source who confirmed the incident to the newsmen stated that the victim’s family members are Hausa and that they had no interest in the police investigation. Instead, they proceeded to bury the victim’s body.
