“Women brought conflict resolution and reconciliation talents to bear on the processes that brought the long-running crises in Liberia and Northern Ireland to an end,” she remarked.
She went on to say that both the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 and the United States Women, Peace, and Security Act of 2017 recognise women’s capabilities.
Jonathan explicitly urged the leaders of North and South Korea, as well as the US, China, Russia, and Japan, to work together toward a solution.
Peace, she continued, is the fertile ground on which development and progress can be nourished to improve residents’ livelihoods.
“Political issues between North and South Korea should be left aside. They should remember that they previously lived in peace, love, and happiness,” the ex-wife President’s said.
