Olubadan, Other Monarchs Leave-In Anger As Security Operatives Deny Them Access To Lekan Salami Stadium.
During the official commissioning of the newly remodelled Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba on Wednesday evening, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, and other monarchs in Oyo State were barred from entering.
The monarch stormed out of the commissioning ceremony.
Overzealous security operatives refused entry to Olubadan and other monarchs who had been invited to attend the commissioning.
The monarchs were told by security operatives that they could only enter if they went in with just one of their aides after waiting over thirty minutes at the entrance.
Yanju Adegboyega, Olubadan’s Assistant Director of Media and Communications, told journalists after leaving the stadium that stopping the monarchs is extremely inconvenient for security operatives.
