Kingmakers announced Lekan Balogun as New Olubadan Of Ibadan
Dr. Lekan Balogun has been nominated as the next Olubadan of Ibadanland by ten of the Olubadan-in-eleven Council’s members.
The Council also ruled out the possibility of a legal squabble delaying the Olubadan throne’s succession.

High Chief Tajudeen Ajibola, the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, stated these at a kingmakers’ briefing on Wednesday.
According to Ajibola, the kingmakers decided that Dr Lekan Balogun would be the next in line to succeed to the throne of Olubadan, as per tradition.
He also dispels rumours about the health and well-being of the new Olubadan-elect.
He claimed that all of the negative media reports were unfounded.

Members of the Olubadan-in-Council are in attendance, except former governor Rashidi Ladoja.
Balogun Olubadan, Owolabi Olakulehin; Otun Balogun, Olufemi Olaifa; Ashipa Olubadan, Eddy Oyewole; and Osi Balogun, Tajudeen Ajibola are among the other High Chiefs in attendance.
Ekaarun Olubadan, Amidu Ajibade, Ashila Balogun Olubadan, Lateef Gbadamosi, Ekaarun Balogun, Kola Adegbola, and Ekerin Olubadan Abiodun Kola-Daisi are the other members.
At the meeting, the new Olubadan-elect is expected to address the press.
