Lauretta Onochie, a presidential aide, explains why Buhari is unable to release Nnamdi Kanu.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s adviser Lauretta Onochie has disclosed why the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, cannot be released.
In an article written by Ms Onochie obtained by Ejes Gist News Nigeria, she said Mr Kanu must face trial for the various killing of notable and average Nigerians in the South-East region.
Kanu has been dubbed a “monster” and a “lunatic” by Mr Buhari’s Personal Assistant on Social Media.
“Nigerians await justice with bated breath. President Muhammadu Buhari, a supporter of due process, would give the monster a fair trial, something he didn’t give others whose killings he ordered. The victims’ relatives are hoping for a just and equitable resolution to their nightmares.”
“Well-meaning Ndigbo believe their leadership failed them by encouraging one of them who was clearly mentally ill,” Onochie continued. When they should have spoken up, they did not. Their heads are still buried in the sand.
“To demand his release is to spit on the graves of Dr. Chike Akunyili, Dr. Lawrence Ezenwa, Dr. Ahmed Gulak, slain traditional rulers, students, virgins, and ordinary Nigerians of Igbo ancestry who died following the orders of this lunatic, not to mention the security operatives they murdered.

“In terms of infrastructure development for Ndigbo, President Muhammadu Buhari’s government has done more than any other government in recent times.” However, aligning with his party isn’t enough for them.
“This is the point at which insanity is no longer an option.” Before battling the might of the Federal Government in a gun war in a marketplace, these barbarians did not spare a thought for their own people who had come to make a living. These individuals now get up and go to the store. Purchase some petrol and biscuits. Make a video of themselves boasting.”
