The black market dollar to naira exchange rate at Lagos Parallel Market (Black Market) players buy a dollar for ₦560 and sell at ₦565 on Tuesday, February 8th 2022, according to data obtained from Bureau De Change (BDC).

The exchange rate between the Nigerian Currency and the US dollar opened at ₦415.42/$1 on 7th February 2022 and closed at ₦416.50/$1. Showing a change of 0.78%.
Spot rate: The dollar sold to the naira as high as ₦444.00 and as low as ₦420.00
Meanwhile, Following a 0.16 percent drop in equity capitalisation after eight hours of trading on Monday, investors on the Nigerian capital market lost N40 billion.
As the bears dragged the stock market down, the equity capitalisation fell from N25.47 trillion to N25.43 trillion.
A bear investor is one who is pessimistic about the markets and believes that prices will fall in the near to medium term.
The All-Share Index fell 76.53 basis points to 47,203.39, down from 47,279.92 the previous Friday.
On Monday, investors traded a total of 285.47 million shares worth N5.12 billion in 5,342 transactions.
The 225.68 million shares worth N2.38 billion that changed hands in 4,093 transactions last week were traded today.

Sunu Assurance topped the gainers’ table after its stock rose 10% from N0.30kobo per share to N0.33kobo per share.
The value of SCOA’s stock increased by 7.14 percent to N1.37kobo per share, up from N1.25kobo per share.
RT Briscoe’s stock rose 7.14 percent to N0.30kobo per share, up from N0.28kobo.
The value of Prestige’s stock increased by 7.14 percent, from N0.42kobo to N0.45kobo per share.
Japaul Gold climbed 5.41 percent to N0.39kobo per share, up from N0.37kobo.
Okomu Oil was the biggest loser, with its share price dropping N14.20kobo to close at N127.80kobo, down from N142 per share last week.
Update on latest black market dollar to naira exchange rate
After losing N0.32kobo during trading, NEM’s share price fell from N3.33kobo to N3.01 per share.
Guinea Insurance fell 9.09 percent to N0.20kobo per share, down from N0.22kobo.
Pharmdeko dropped N0.17kobo to N1.81kobo per share, down from N1.98kobo.
Oando rounded out the top five after losing N0.41kobo in market value, dropping from N5.16kobo to N4.75kobo per share.
With 44.92 million shares worth N1.23 billion, GTCO led the day’s trading.
Transcorp exchanged N27.49 million for 23.59 million.
With 23.21 million shares valued at N66.40 million, Fidelity Bank came in second.
Nigerian Breweries sold 18.17 million shares valued at N872.53 million, while First Bank sold 13.46 million worth N149.38 million.
