From DSS Net, Nnamdi Kanu sends a strong message to IPOB members.

Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, revealed in a message to IPOB on Friday that enemies of the Biafra republic struggle were already banding together to put an end to it, and advised his legal team to be strong and not distracted.

After the legal team visited Kanu at the Department of State Services, DSS, detention facility in Abuja last Thursday, Kanu made this statement to newsmen in Owerri through the IPOB’s lead counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor.

The enemies were unhappy, according to the IPOB leader, because they saw the battle ending in a victory for the IPOB.

IPOB accuses the FG and DSS of mistreating Kanu while he is in custody.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the group’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, said the group was no longer certain of Kanu’s health.

It challenged the Department of State Services to come out and tell the world why Kanu’s family and lawyers were being kept in the dark.

The group also stated that the Federal Government and security agencies should be aware that Kanu, as a political prisoner, should not be treated in any way, and that the only option left was for him to be released unconditionally or face the consequences of his detention for so long.

It warned that if anything bad happened to the IPOB leader, the Federal Government and its security agencies would be held liable for the devastating consequences of such an avoidable situation.

“Our attention has been drawn to the refusal by the DSS in Abuja to allow family members and lawyers to visit our leader, Nnamdi Kanu, during his routine visitation in DSS custody on Monday,” the group stated.

“We also recall that when family members and lawyers went to see our leader last Thursday, the DSS denied them access. On Thursday last week, our legal team went to the DSS office in Abuja, but the DSS refused to let them see our leader. On Monday, they were denied access to our leader once more.

“For the time being, we don’t know how he’s doing or if he’s still alive.” The DSS should come out and tell the world why our leader is being shielded from his family and lawyers. Have they gotten rid of him?

“We are informing the international community as well as all diplomatic missions in Abuja about the DSS’s provocative actions.” Nobody should hold IPOB responsible for anything because the federal government and its security agencies have already pushed us to our breaking point.”

Nnamdi Kanu’s trial has been adjourned by the court.

The case of Biafra political leader Nnamdi Kanu has been postponed until April 8, 2022 by Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja.

: I can’t release Nnamdi Kanu; Buhari says, as he snubs Igbo leaders

“We want to declare that the Nigerian government and security agencies will have no peace of mind unless our leader is released,” IPOB’s media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, said in a statement released on January 5.

However, the group warned that people in the Southeast geopolitical zone, which it prefers to refer to as “Biafra land,” would face difficulties. Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo are the five states that make up the zone.

“Fulani cows will be prohibited in Biafra land beginning April 2022,” according to the statement. “Those in the animal husbandry industry must switch to our native cow as soon as possible.”

“In regards to stopping the Nigerian national anthem in our schools, we want every school to begin reading the Biafra national anthem,” the group added. The Biafra national anthem will soon be distributed to every school.”

IPOB drew attention in October 2021 with a statement outlining its plan to regulate the cattle industry and cow meat consumption in the Southeast.

Mazi Chika Edoziem, the head of the Directorate of State (DOS), had announced a ban on the rearing and c0onsumption of “Fulani cows” in Southeast states, stating that the ban would take effect six months after the announcement.

“From that date forward, no more Fulani cows shall be allowed into Biafra land for any reason, not for burials, title taking, weddings, or any other reason,” he says. He went on to say that only cows bred in the territory would be “consumed and used for all ceremonies in Biafra land” from then on.

The group has now demonstrated that it meant what it said by announcing that the cow ban will go into effect in April, roughly six months after the initial announcement.

The group’s plans for enforcing the cow and anthem bans in the five states are unclear. It already has a poor track record of enforcing its bad ideas.

IPOB’s ban could be enforced by authorities similar to those who disrupted the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in many parts of the Southeast in September 2021 as a result of the group’s illegal sit-at-home order. The snarl was unforgivable.

IPOB, ironically, continues to deny being labeled a terrorist organization while speaking and acting in a terroristic manner.
