Bianca Ojukwu Also President Buhari To Release IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu

Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, the wife of former Biafran activist Chukuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, has begged President Muhammadu Buhari to free Nnamdi Kanu.

Kanu’s release, she claims, will demonstrate Buhari’s magnanimity.   The call for secession is a direct result of perceived inequity in resource distribution and political appointments in the country.

“Kanu’s release will bolster President Buhari’s commitment to healing the wounds caused by the Igbo nation’s sense of marginalization,” she said.

in Anambra: IPOB declares war against unknown gunmen

Recent Developments in the South East geopolitical zone have shown that the leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has begun to pay attention to Igbo leaders’ words on the path forward for a lasting peace, including their crucial intervention to ensure the quick release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the pro-Biafra group.

on Nnamdi Kanu: The Northern Coalition is seeking an audience with President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Coalition of Northern Group (CNG) has requested an audience with President Muhammadu Buhari to present a case on behalf of northerners who were allegedly violated and killed in a series of attacks allegedly instigated and coordinated by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leadership.

Dr Nastura Ashir Shariff, who spoke on behalf of northerners who have been displaced by the attacks since 2017, said the group was inspired by Igbo leaders’ visit to the president.

President Muhammadu Buhari was visited by a delegation of Igbo leaders who demanded the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu, who is facing treason charges.

President Buhari responded by saying the delegation made an extremely difficult demand, but that he would consider it because of the principle of separation of powers.

: IPOB members have been kidnapped and detained by the military, according to Emma Powerful

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) accused the Nigerian military on Saturday of kidnapping and imprisoning its members in secret cells, particularly in Kaduna State.

IPOB asked people looking for family members to check various detention facilities in Kaduna and Abuja, according to a statement issued by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful.

Obinze-Owerri, Bori Camp in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, 82 Division Enugu, and the Nigerian Army barracks in Afikpo, Ebonyi State are among the places listed by the group.

“Biafrans with any case of a missing family member should go to Kaduna State and check if they can be found there,” the statement said.

“We’ve learned that some of those kidnapped in Rivers State last year, as well as some of the Biafrans kidnapped in Imo State, are being held in Kaduna’s secret detention cells.”

“It has come to IPOB’s attention that approximately 95 innocent citizens of Obigbo have been discovered in Kaduna, and 257 others have been kidnapped in Orlu, Imo State.

“Members of the public are also invited to visit army detention centers in Abuja to check on their missing loved ones.”

“The intelligence unit of the IPOB will not give up in its quest to uncover the various secret cells and detention facilities where our people are hidden and left to rot.”

“We, therefore, alert the international community to the recent discovery of 95 abducted Obigbo and Orlu residents in Kaduna Prisons and secret Abuja cells, including six females and 89 males.”

“We discovered recently abducted army personnel, including one Ugochukwu, who died as a result of severe torture.” Over 257 others remain unaccounted for to this day.”
