We’re under attack, Labour Party chairman cries out

Comrade Julius Abure, the national chairman of the Labour Party, has expressed outrage over what he claims to be a coordinated attack on Labour Party members in some federation-wide states, reports.

On Thursday, Abure made this statement while hosting a group of interfaith clerics in audience at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

We have had attacks in Ebonyi, Enugu, Lagos, and other places, he said. They initially claimed that we lacked a structure, but now that they see that our structure is made up of our members across the nation, they have plans to attack them.

“Only yesterday, we had intended to ask Nigerians to pray for us following our meeting. The fact that the Bishops and Sheikhs came today to pray for us is evidence that 2023 is the year of the Lord.

Abure pointed out that while many people feel that historical research should be avoided in campaigns, doing so would be inappropriate since “you cannot treat an ailment without proper diagnosis.” Speaking of solutions is impossible without first examining the problems.

“Leadership failure is evident in the security sector, for example, where kidnappings occur despite calls being made and arrests not being made.

“People are hungry, and the economy is struggling with double-digit inflation.

Even though we can not build skyscrapers, we can still grow enough food to feed ourselves, according to the Labour Party, which believes that Nigeria has what it takes to ensure that no Nigerian goes to bed hungry.

LP Chairman Tagged APC, PDP as Moneybags Politicians

The LP National Chairman continued, “Moneybags who sit in the luxury of their houses and select who becomes what politically own the APC and the PDP.

“We established the LP to aid Nigerians. As for the Labour Party, we are prepared to lead and ready to get Nigeria where it needs to be.

“I can state without fear of disagreement that Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, is the greatest.

“We dare claim that no amount of violence, intimidation, or use of tear gas can put an end to an idea whose time has come.
