Kwankwaso Opens Up On Endorsing Tinubu

The (RMK) Presidential Campaign Organization has reacted to a report that Rabiu Kwankwaso, the New Nigeria Peoples Party’s () presidential candidate for the general elections of 2023, has backed Bola Tinubu as false.

According to the RMK Presidential Campaign Organization, the former governor of Kano State is still actively campaigning for the presidency and is not deterred by the false rumors that he has endorsed the APC candidate.

The organization said in a statement released on Tuesday by Muyi Fatosa, a close adviser to Kwankwaso, that Kwankwaso continues to enjoy broad support from the majority of Nigerians.

For the record and the avoidance of doubt, Sen. Kwankwanso was questioned about Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in an interview with Dr. Reuben Abati of Arise TV. Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso made it apparent in his response that Bola Tinubu is a friend of many years and that he would have been recommended if he hadn’t run for office. I don’t engage in politics of resentment. We are both running for president, but I am a stronger contender.

In the statement, it was noted that “it is regrettable to see many people interpreting the foregoing statement to signify an endorsement of Tinubu and pushing such misunderstood message on the media.”

The Campaign Organization asked the people to always confirm the veracity of whatever they see in the media and vehemently denied the claim that HE Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso had in any way sponsored Bola Tinubu.

“The Organization also urged Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s stakeholders, party members, followers, and supporters to ignore the false report making the rounds on social media platforms and to keep supporting Sen. Kwankwaso, who is the best candidate for the job, in whatever manner they can.

“We continue to hold talks with representatives from every federally recognized state, including the Federal Capital Territory, and so far, the response has been favorable.

Sen. Kwankwaso is still the front-runner in the race for the presidency in 2023, we want to reaffirm to Nigerians and the throngs of his fans both at home and abroad.
