Recall that Kasper Schmeichel of Leicester City has hinted that Kelechi Iheanacho would be crucial if the club is to win the FA Cup and finish in the top four.

Iheanacho has ten goals in the Foxes’ last eight games, including the game-winning goal that qualified them for the FA Cup for the first time in 52 years.

In a recent interview with Leicester City TV, the Danish number one expressed his delight at seeing Kelechi Iheanacho’s hard work pay off.

“Incredible form, unbelievable man, unbelievable player. Kelly (Kelechi Iheanacho) has put in a lot of effort since he first joined the Club.”

He’ll be critical for us in the final stretch of the season. We’re laser-focused and adamant about not living in the future. We’re living in the moment, concentrating on the present, and the Premier League is our next opportunity. We’ll have to do that later.”

“All he wanted was a stroke of luck to boost his morale. He’s a pain to play against at times, so I’m just happy for him that it’s showing in games,” he said.

As Brendan Rodgers’ side takes on West Bromwich Albion later this evening, Iheanacho will be hoping to add to his goal count.
