At 9.52 am : 10 Students have Regained Freedom.  Number of students and staff abducted at Government Science College, Kagara Niger State yet unknown. 

A witness of the attack on Government Science College, Kagara Niger State, has narrated how the gunmen broke into the staff quarters of the school before raiding hostels.

Speaking with Ejes Gist Naija News, the witness said the gunmen gathered some staff and students at a place for hours before moving them out of the school premises.

Armed men, reportedly wearing military uniforms, were said to have overpowered security guards in a school with a population of over 1,000 students.

While being led to an unknown destination, some students were said to have escaped.

To determine the actual number of missing students, a headcount is conducted at the school.

Ejes Gist Naija News has learned that security agencies are on the trail of armed men right now.

In order to monitor the location of the students, a Nigerian Air Force aircraft was hovering in the air.

Meanwhile, it was said that one of the abducted employees, simply identified as Batagi, escaped from his captors.

Lawal, Ali, Hannatu and her husband, Dodo, and Mohammed Abubakar have been identified as some of those still in captivity (Akawu).

When this report was filed, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Wasiu Abiodun, did not pick up his call or respond to a text message sent to him.
