Justice Nyako has Fixed New Date For IPOB’s Trial.

The trial of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been adjourned till June 28th by Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Ejes Gist Newspaper reports that the trial judge had previously scheduled the pro-Biafra activist’s trial to resume on May 26th, 2022.

However, Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, announced on Twitter that Justice Nyako is unavailable.

“Please be advised that we have just got communication from the Federal High Court’s Registrar, alerting us that the Court would no longer be sitting on Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s case tomorrow, May 26th, 2022,” he wrote.

“According to the Registrar, this is due to His Lordship, Justice Binta Nyako’s illness, and the matter has been rescheduled for ruling/hearing on June 28, 2022.”

“We humbly request that you all exercise restraint, as you have in the past. Keep your eyes on the ball, which is Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s freedom.

“Please keep in mind that justice delayed is not the same as justice denied.” We’re on our way to victory and it’s only a matter of time.
