Just In: Residents flee as Boko Haram militants storm Auno village in Borno

Suspected Boko Haram militants, Monday night stormed Auno, a village about 10 km from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital. Some villagers have been stated to have fled the group for security.

Ejesgist Gathered, According to fleeing residents of the realm, some troopers, Mobile Police and members of the civilian joint job pressure have been seen heading to the troubled space.

“We took to our heels once we heard heavy sounds of gunfire. We know they’re the Boko Haram boys, as a result of they’ve been round as experiences from some firewood sellers stated they’ve seen them earlier and suspected they weren’t safety forces.
“Soldiers are already in the village to repel them, nevertheless, so many harmless individuals could have been trapped in the village, who weren’t capable of transfer out as on the time we fled the village,” the resident, who craved anonymity instructed
