LASTMA officer slumps and dies on duty
On Thursday, May 5, a Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) officer collapsed and died while on duty at Ojota checkpoint in Lagos, Ejes Gist Newspaper reports.
According to eyewitnesses, the terrible episode drew the attention of onlookers and sympathizers, who attempted to save the officer’s life but were unable.

The identity of the officer who died has yet to be determined. The cause of death has also remained unknown.

Meanwhile, the body has been deposited at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital LASUTH, Ikeja, according to a senior LASTMA officer who verified the death on condition of anonymity.
