DSS Arrest Boko Haram Leader in Ogun

A suspected Boko Haram leader was detained on Sunday, July 31, in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun state, by agents of the Department of State Services.

The alleged Boko Haram leader was detained in Abeokuta’s Ijaye neighborhood.

Additionally, it was discovered that throughout the operation, which took place at night, the suspect initially resisted before yielding to the DSS agents’ greater strength.

According to a security source, the suspected terrorist traveled from Katsina to Abeokuta where he accepted a security position at Ijaye while gathering information for terrorist activities.

According to reports, he relocated to Abeokuta to establish a terrorist cell for abductions and terrorist acts.

Armed security personnel attacked his hiding place after gathering intelligence and took him away.
