General Ihejirika, speaking after joining the APC, said that getting into politics by joining the APC is to contribute to the party’s success at the state and national levels.

“In his words, “I am pleased with the presence of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, leader of the party in our state, to honour this gathering.

Having served in the military for almost 38 years, I am persuaded that staying outside government operations would be a waste of experience for me.

This is because I have a lot to give and I will learn quickly as well, and I promise you all that I will operate an open-door policy.

“My first objective is to unite the party, because unity is very important because we can achieve all our goals for the state and the nation as a whole if we are united.”

Azubuike Ihejirika, CFR (born February 13, 1956) is a retired lieutenant general of the Nigerian Army and a former Chief of Staff of the Army.
