Jonathan Praises Yar’Adua’ 12 years after, says type hard to find.
Former President Goodluck Jonathan has praised Umaru Musa Yar’ Adua, his former boss, as a selfless leader, Ejes Gist Newspaper Reports.
Jonathan claimed Yar’Adua’s “type is hard to find” in Nigeria, 12 years after the former president’s death.

From 2007 until 2010, Yar’Adua served as President of Nigeria. On May 5, 2010, he passed away due to sickness.
After President Olusegun Obasanjo of the South had finished his two four-year terms, the late Yar’Adua of the north was elected President.

Following Yar’Adua’s death, his deputy, Goodluck Jonathan, returned to the saddle to finish his four-year tenure, after which he was re-elected for a second term in the South South zone.
Jonathan stood for a second term, but was defeated by incumbent President Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd. ), who is from the north.
Meanwhile, the former president was said to have been on his way from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, to his residence in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) when the accident happened.

Inspectors Ibrahim Abazi and Yakubu Toma, two security personnel assigned to him, were not so fortunate and died in the crash, according to Ejes Gist Newspaper.
Although the reason of the accident was not immediately known, Jonathan was claimed to have departed Yenagoa, Bayelsa, his home state, for Abuja in the afternoon before the accident, which left a number of the convoy’s automobiles wrecked.
Jonathan‘s spokesman, Ikechukwu Eze, issued a statement on the tragedy, saying that while he was safe, he was very pained by the killing of his aides.
