In addition to the groundbreaking underpass project, the governor provided updates on another crucial infrastructure endeavor. The dualization of a section of Akwanga township road in the Akwanga local government area is poised to commence soon.

This vital road connects the Ismaila Abbas petrol station, Akwanga roundabout, and AYM Shafa petrol station.

Governor Sule revealed that his administration has granted the contractor handling the Akwanga township road project an unprecedented 50 percent mobilization fund, deviating from the usual 30 percent.

This strategic decision was prompted by the state’s increased revenue, allowing for an accelerated pace of development.

“We did something that we don’t usually do. When we give a contract, we usually give the contractor 30 percent mobilization. But because Nasarawa State is blessed now, just like so many other places, as a result of improved revenue. I approved 50 percent of the money to the contractor to ensure that he would do this work on time,” Governor Sule affirmed.
