According to the INEC spokesman, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) must issue a wanted declaration for Yunusa-Ari if he is on the run.

Okoye claimed that the Commission had requested in writing that Usman Akali Baba, the Inspector-General of Police, look into the suspended REC in order to consider filing charges.
