There has been a trending story that Tompolo has been shot dead on various social media and on some online news platforms.

High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, was a former freedom fighter in the Niger Delta. He has called claims that he was killed during the People Democratic Party (PDP) primaries for the House of Assembly and Senate in Ogbia, Bayelsa State, as pranks.

This was contained in an official statement issued by Paul Bebenimibo, media adviser to Tompolo.

He said, “High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, has been drawn to an online rumor that one Tompolo was assassinated in Ogbia during the Peoples Democratic Party primaries for the House of Representatives and Senate.”

For the avoidance of doubt, this story has nothing to do with Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo, High Chief of Government. By God’s goodness, he is healthy, strong, and doing well.
