Suspected IPOB members storm Delta

IPOB accuses Soludo of secretly setting up Ebubeagu militia to eliminate members

Ejes Gist Newspaper reports that Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, a secessionist organisation, has accused Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo with secretly forming the Ebubeagu militia to exterminate IPOB members.

This was mentioned in a press release that Mr. Emma Powerful, the IPOB media and publicity secretary, provided to our correspondent in Awka, Anambra State.

Strong in the release dared Soludo, pledging to take on his militia with the help of their organization’s violent section, Eastern Security Network (ESN).

In the statement, IPOB stated: “We have been alerted to the careless and unjustified murder of innocent Biafran civilians in Anambra State by the covert militia and Ebubeagu security unit established there by Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

“IPOB wants to make Biafrans aware of the criminal activity carried out by Soludo’s militia and the Ebubeagu security group in Anambra State.

Since Soludo had surreptitiously established the Ebubeagu security unit to begin a covert purge of IPOB members, it is now obvious that the governor wants to ignite the tranquil state of Anambra.

“Soludo must be held accountable for everything that occurs in Anambra State moving forward if he keeps using his Ebubeagu militia to profile Biafrans and kill them due to their body art or tattoos.”

The group said that Nnewi, Idemili South, and North, as well as other significant towns and communities in the state, are particularly affected by the covert execution of its members.

It specifically mentioned Imo and Ebonyi states and asked Soludo to observe what was occurring in other South Eastern states where the governors disregarded IPOB’s warnings.

Powerful reported that several IPOB members had either been slain, kidnapped, or captured in Anambra State and that ESN has been alerted to the situation.

Despite the lack of conclusive evidence, IPOB insists that the Ebubeagu militia in Anambra State was the same as the well-known Anambra Vigilante Services (AVG).
