The Labour Party’s (LP) nominee, Peter Obi, has had his presidential bid crushed by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says it does not agree with the political opinions of Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate.
The proscribed secessionist group stated that Peter Obi is “playing the dirty Nigerian politics” and that it has nothing in common with him.

The group said this in reaction to Saleh Alhassan, national secretary of Miyetti Allah, who had said the promoters of IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu have switched allegiance to Obi.
IPOB announced that neither an Igbo president nor a Nigerian leader of Southeast ancestry would get their support.
The separatist group’s spokesman, Emma Powerful, claimed that Nigeria was beyond saving.
Powerful claimed in a statement that he signed: “The Igbo people supporting Peter Obi are not members of IPOB because IPOB’s objective is the dissolution of the Nigerian enterprise, regardless of whether Peter Obi or anyone else from the Biafran geographic space is running in the Nigerian farce of an election.
What IPOB Stand for ?
“IPOB is a liberation movement that has nothing to do with any involvement in Nigerian politics. As far as the IPOB is concerned, Nigeria cannot be saved.
Kidnappers demand N15m ransom for Osun APC chieftain
The family of Kazeem Alli has been approached by the men who kidnapped the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in exchange for N15 million in ransom.
After gunmen pursued Alli to the Oke-Alfa neighbourhood of Apomu in the Isokan Local Government Area on Saturday night before escorting him to an unidentified location, Alli was attacked with firearms and cutlasses.
APC leader Prince Gboyega Famodun, however, claimed that Kazeem was killed after being attacked by alleged assailants who were supported by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
A spokeswoman for the Osun Police, Yemisi Opalola, said that Alli’s body had not yet been discovered despite the fact that police, hunters, vigilantes, and locals had been called in to rescue him from the bushes.
The Nation was informed by a family member who begged to remain unnamed that the kidnappers had phoned the family and demanded a N15 million ransom.
The kidnappers have contacted us, he claimed. They advised us to keep the negotiations to ourselves. Through the wife, Jemila Alli, they have been in contact with the family.
They sought a ransom of N15 million. Since he was kidnapped, Kazeem Alli and I have not communicated. We ask for his safe return in our prayers.
