After hearing about the deaths and destruction, including terrible images of the massacre, Adams declared war on the Southwest.

He claimed the North had wreaked havoc on the area and asked residents to rise and defend themselves “without looking back.”

“In a situation like this, you rise and defend yourself. Where were the cops when the bandits started slaughtering our folks in Igangan today?.

“Even the palace of the Asigangan of Igangan land, Oba Adewuyi Olaoye, was not spared, according to accounts, and the monarch was carried away by the bandits.

“Three days ago, the Director-General of Oyo State Southwest Security Network Amotekun, Gen. Kunle Togun(Retd), issued a warning that herdsmen had invaded the southwest.

“I corroborated his accusations and demanded rapid surveillance across the Southwest,” he said. Fulani herdsmen are clearly on a pre-planned mission to slaughter, maim, and obliterate the southwest, as seen by the recent onslaught on the Igangan people.

“I will not fold my arms in the face of the bloodshed of innocent people in Igangan; this is one massacre too many.

“Now that the North has declared war on the Southwest, we will never be complacent or silent about the homicide that is occurring there. I’d like to see all of the governors in the Southwest, as well as the traditional rulers, stand forward.”

According to the Yoruba generalissimo, criminal herdsmen should stay away from the region because the Southwest can no longer accommodate them. Because of the work of the OPC and other local security professionals, residents in the region will remain safe.

“Those who were massacred at had families and friends; blood ran through their veins, and their lives were cut short in an instant by killer herders and bandits in their own home.”

Bandits and murderous herders have penetrated the Southwest, according to information in Adams’ possession, putting security personnel to the test.

He urged all governors to beef up their states’ security to guarantee that the region’s residents are adequately protected.
