“I see his followers declaring war on the president and Nigerians as vengeance,” Peters told Newsmen. Nigeria is at a crossroads.

“I will encourage people in positions of authority to handle this matter with caution because one error might set off the mother of all violence in Nigeria; his organisation is deeply aggrieved and is making serious plans.

Peters had said before Kanu’s arrest that the IPOB leader might not live till the end of 2021.

Kanu, the leader of the pro-Biafra separatist group IPOB, was kidnapped in Kenya and returned to Nigeria a week ago.

He was then charged before the Federal High Court, which is presided by Justice Binta Nyako, on Tuesday.

After the Nyaku ordered that he should be held with the secret police until the next hearing on his case on July 26, he is currently in the custody of the DSS.
