I never told Tunde He was not the father of our Two Children –Moyo Thomas finally Speaks.
Finally, Moyo Thomas, the former First City Monument Bank (FCMB) employee caught up in a paternity controversy with bank managing director Nuhu Adams, shared her own side of the storey.
Remember that it was confirmed that after fighting depression, Moyo’s estranged husband, Tunde Thomas, died from a heart attack after learning that the two children from their marriage were allegedly fathered by Nuhu Adams, with whom she was allegedly in a romantic relationship.
Moyo said she refrained from speaking on the issue to preserve memories of Tunde, who died on December 16, 2020, after news of the affair went viral and also made Adams embark on a leave pending investigation of the case by the bank management.
Paternity Scandal: I never told Tunde on any occasion that he was not the father of our two children? Finally, Moyo Thomas talks.
Despite the disagreements in their marriage, some of which led to police intervention, the former FCMB employee also claimed that she remained committed to maintaining only good memories of him and never allowed their separation to affect their children.
Read the statement released on Friday, January 8.
I write in response to all the rumours and claims that the internet and various social media sites have recently been making the rounds. For different purposes, I have refrained from addressing this matter, one of which is to preserve the memories of Tunde, who left to be with his creator on December 16, 2020. Recollections, not only of me, but of his children, who are still young, and of all those who have had a relationship with him.
“Tunde and I had a lot of disagreements in our marriage, just like any marriage, some of which also resulted in police involvement. But I remain dedicated to preserving only good memories of him. No one will really understand what happened in the marriage between us or what either of us experienced; as they say, it is he who wears the shoes who knows where they pinch. In all of this, I never wished him evil for once. His untimely and abrupt death, as it is for many people, is also a shock to me.
“I never told him on any occasion that he was not the father of our two children. Therefore, to say and insinuate that I told him that the children are not his is a deliberate lie and undoubtedly malicious. Those kids still bear his name. Only God knows why he died early. Without confirmed medical evidence, it is not in my position, or in the place of others, to play God and speak with certainty as to the cause of his death.
Despite our separation, we have never allowed our differences to influence the relationships we have with children, respectively. Up until his abrupt and tragic death, he still had talks with the kids like any father would. Seeing the pictures of these young children splashed all over the internet with quite disdainful and strange comments is very sad and disheartening.
I wish his family and friends the strength to bear the unfortunate loss and I ask that in peace we all be permitted to grieve his loss. He has now been laid to rest, and we implore all and all to please respect our privacy and allow those who grieve his loss to do so in peace, including the children and I.
