I Have Performed Better Than Jonathan : President Muhammad Buhari said that under his administration, the security situation in the north-east is better than it was under former President Goodluck Jonathan.
On Wednesday, Buhari disclosed this while receiving Yakubu Pam, Executive Secretary of the Christian Pilgrims Commission of Nigeria in Abuja.
While Jonathan’s name was not stated by the President, he made direct reference to the former leader who handed over power to him in 2015.

“He said, “What was the case when we arrived? For that matter, try to ask people from Borno or from Adamawa and Yobe. What was the situation before we arrived and what is the situation now?
In Borno and Yobe, there are still issues, there are occasional problems with Boko Haram, but they know the difference because a lot of them have migrated out of their states and moved to Kaduna, Kano and here (in Abuja). Buhari also told internally displaced people (IDPs) that their well-being was at the top of his government’s agenda.
I feel sorry for the young people in the IDP camps, the weak, the old, because this is the time they are supposed to be having an education. As it will never be restored, we must not allow this time to pass. But we just care about what’s going on there, and we’re doing our best,’ he said.
